Continuation of my previous post Monsoon drive 2014
Day 2 ( July 12, 2014)
Woke up little late in the morning after a tiresome ride yesterday. It continued raining. Walked out of the room and entered the cafeteria for coffee and breakfast.
The Cafeteria
Monsoon drive t-shirts are being distributed..
As the drive is scheduled to start only at noon, we decided to explore nearby around in the morning.
The road..
Castlerock is a village in the Uttara Kannada (North Kanara) district Indian state of Karnataka, The town is located in the Western Ghats on the state’s border with Goa at an elevation of 621 m (2,040 ft).
Located at height in a heavily forested area, Castle Rock’s vegetation is moist tropical deciduous. Manganese mines in the area form the main economy of the region. The area, which is within the Dandeli Tiger Reserve, contains many of them.
This station marks the beginning of the Braganza Ghats from Karnataka side. The nearby Dudhsagar Falls is one of the main tourist attractions of Goa.Source: Wikipedia
Just clicked few photos and returned back to the hotel, as the drive was scheduled to start.
we started on NH4A and went to Vagator View Point via Ponda, Panaji, Mapusa.
The convoy..
Rains rains everywhere… through out the drive… Peak view through the windshield of the car…
And we reached Vagator- Anjuna Cliff.
As it was continuously raining.. the climate was quite misty. The moment we open the camera, the mist blocks the lens view and the photo becomes over exposed. Couldn’t get clear pictures..
The drive continues..
Finally we reached Ginger Tree Resort for Night Stay enRouting Via Anjuna, Calangute to Candolim.
Checked into the room. Refreshed ourselves… and assembled for the get-to-gather..
The hiway Queens..
And the group pic..
Squaring back to our rooms as the next day’s drive is going to be quite a lengthy one.
[ To be continued]
